Reintegration Programs

Release is the beginning, not the end. We help ex-offenders resettle, earn a living and reconnect with their families so they never have to go back.

Our reintegration work takes place in communities, working directly with ex-offenders after their release. Its goal is simple: to prevent re-offending through social and economic empowerment, and to build a network of support for ex-offenders across the country.

What we offer

  • Skills training and further educational or vocational training for ex-offenders.
  • Economic empowerment through income-generating projects, and linking ex-offenders to service providers.
  • Resettlement of ex-offenders.
  • Individual and family counselling, and spiritual guidance and support.
  • Clothing and personal care items — basic needs such as hygiene materials.
  • Crime prevention awareness.
  • Reintegration through Community Brigades.

Why it matters

Stigma and a lack of income are among the biggest reasons people return to crime. By helping ex-offenders start small businesses — as we have done since our 2021 small business initiative — and by supporting families to welcome them home, we help make the change last.

How to get involved

Call our office on +266 2232 1666, visit us at Ha Mafafa, Kingsway Road, Maseru, or send us a message through the contact form. Everything you share is treated in confidence.
